Public bug reported: This is one of the few bugs I've submitted and would list as being of a high inconvenience to the user.
A keyboard that goes through bluez-* or any hidd interface seems to be unaffected by keyboard layout, or charmaps. All of these options are set in gnome through system, preferences, keyboard preferences. I use the English International Keyboard with AltGr dead keys. I'm also using a Caps-lock to ctrl remap -and- Right Alt key to choose third level, and Shift + RightAlt key for MultiKey Nothing works here, it is as if I was using a plain EN-US keymap. The ctrl-key mapping also fails. In addition, the default gnome keymaps fail as well. Such as Alt+f2 for the gnome-run dialog. One keyboard (dell) plugged in through USB works as desired, while the one going through bluez (apple wireless bluetooth aluminum) fails. Please advice on any solution and progress on getting this fixed. Thanks. ** Affects: bluez-gnome (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- bluetooth keyboard oblivious to gnome keymap https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292338 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
