I also have a Dell Inspiron 4000 Laptop with the same ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 AGP 2x (rev 02) video card and low res issue. I want to enable 1024x768 but I'm stuck with 640x480 or 800x600. Desktop effects would also be nice, but I'll settle for 1024x768.
