Public bug reported: This is using Kubuntu Edgy, fully updated as of this posting.
After a recent update (in the last 2 weeks or so) to edgy, various apps have started leaking memory to the point of swapping on my 2 gb system and eventually crashing. An example is firefox taking up 800 mb after a day at work browsing docs and the request tracker, even if I close everything back down to a single tab with Google loaded. I tried downloading the official build from mozzila and it still does it. Watching xrestop, I've noticed that apps like kicker will increase their memory usage and then remain at a higher level when I do stuff like mouseover icons. This didn't happen with the initial release of edgy. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- memory leak https://launchpad.net/bugs/72955 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
