the crash occured by simply typing: irc in the shell. I installed and tried to run it again this am, it crashed the first time with this message in the syslog:
Nov 1 12:09:08 Celine kernel: [12974.912406] irc[18557]: segfault at 14 ip b7ee6412 sp bf961c90 error 4 in libc-2.8.90.so[b7e75000+158000] But, upon running it again it seems to be ok now. I will keep an eye on it.
