THIS IS NOT SPAM THE SUBSCRIBERS, BUT TO SUGGEST A TEMPORARY SOLUTION
FOR THOSE WHO WANT THE ISSUE TO GO AWAY NOW: rename the folder in the
root directory called "pictures" and remount and all is well.

So, basically, confirming this bug and also confirming that it is simply
due to the presence of a folder titled "pictures". This seems like
avoidable, surely a 500Gb USB mounted hard disk is not that difficult to
distinguish from a 6-700MB CD mounted on a cd drive.

When renaming the folder "pictures" the disk is mounted properly next
time.
