For the two deb packages as following: network-manager_0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu2~nm3_i386.deb network-manager_0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu2~nm4_i386.deb (get them from URL:http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/ubuntu/pool/main/n/network-manager/) I have installed the deb package respectively,and retested them. For ubuntu2~nm4_i386: it is also work fine :).
