1. I've attached my Xorg.0.log generated when no frequencies are specified. This is the case where the 1024x768 resolution is not available, only a maximum of 800x600. 2. I tried booting with the Edgy LiveCD as per your instructions and discovery worked. The savage driver got correctly loaded and the 1024x768 resolution was available without any further configuration. 3.
