Since Ubuntu 8.10 includes Linux 2.6.25, with some network drivers that
implement LRO, ethtool should provide control over this feature.
My patch to add that was applied to the upstream git repository a while
ago (commit id c36a51cd7ee9a31981f904a7406b798f1f75ee8e).
It may also be worthwhile to update 8.04 accordingly.
