Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: upstart

This is just an annoyance, but nonetheless, a considered "bug".

This only affects Ubuntu 8.10, as it doesn't exist in 8.04 and earlier.

"/etc/init.d/NetworkManager" should be "/etc/init.d/networkmanager". In
other words, the init script is using the wrong case.

Historically in Unix, System V init scripts have always been lowercase.
In general, the Unix philosophy is to keep filenames and directories
lowercase, so the shift key does not need to be hit during tab
completion. Call it lazy, but creating an init script that breaks this
philosophy is annoying.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for change, when the change brings about
argued improvement to the system. We shouldn't blindly follow our Unix
ancestors "just because". However, when a change is brought about "just
because", without any good reason warranting it, it fractures
communities, and creates pools of expertise. I believe this is one of
those changes.

Should be a simple fix to rename the init script to lower case, and
update the symbolic links as accordingly.
