Meh, that's what I get for not scrutinizing the entire thing. :-) I would still suggest that perhaps moving the defaults closer to the actual setting (or vice versa) would be in order, it's make it easier to see how to do this, especially since there is no man page for compiz- decorator. Something like the attached diff.
