Yes, the Etoile package in Debian/Ubuntu is in a bad (and outdated) state. If you want to help with the package, feel free to contact the Debian GNUstep packaging team (pkg-gnustep- [EMAIL PROTECTED]). We would like to see the Etoile package improved, but we don't have the manpower to do it.
