Hm.. I would expect to match only emails where sender is empty. This is what I understand it like if I leave box empty. I would understand if it wouldn't match some empty cases cos 'empty' in programming world may have different forms. In any case I wouldn't expect to match something meaning any even hidden character when I say is equal '' (nothing defined).
