I downloaded the latest daily image for both 32-bit and 64-bit and tested my gamepads on each one.
I can confirm that I have no problems on the 32-bit version. With the 64-bit version, the bug is NOT fixed for me. I confirmed that I have "xserver-xorg-input-evdev_2.0.99+git20080912-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb" installed (I must've gotten it from the daily updates) and my dual action gamepad is still detected as a mouse and moves the mouse cursor. (Which prevents some games from using it since it's seeing a mouse event instead of a joystick event with a direction button is pressed). I also tested this on my 64-bit install with all the latest updates, it's not fixed there either.
