** Description changed: Hello, - When i try to copy symbols from some pdfs they are displayed incorrectly. Examples of symbols (without the "): "(+-=[space] /" etc. Not all symbols are displayed wrong at the same time. Furthermore the pasted symbol is pasted as a different character for different pdfs for example copied symbol "=" is sometimes pasted as Z, while copied from other pdfs can be pasted as for example "¼" depending on the pdf. + When i try to copy symbols from some pdfs they are pasted incorrectly. Operating system Ubuntu 8.04.1 32-bit Programs that have this problem: kpdf, evince, adobe acrobat reader. Showcase: 1. Open the pdf with any of the pdf viewers mentioned above: http://www.zef.de/module/register/media/4c1e_TermitenAmazonas.pdf which is displayed correctly. I am sorry i couldnt find more pdf examples as the pdfs i have are copyrighted. 2. Copy some text with symbols (e.g table 1). This does not happen only for tables. 3. paste it in a document. 4. notice the different display for some symbols. Also searching for example for the symbol "=" with the search function will not return all the "="s displayed (for example the ones from table 1). jarlaxl
