Hi, Sorry I didn't update the bug report. As far as I can remember I ended up using the proprietary ATI driver, or the updates solved the issue in a matter of days. I should have waited a full week before performing the upgrade. That is: next month I'll do a fresh install on another partition to test intrepid.
