Binary package hint: base-installer
Hi!
We encounter a strange problem with the installation of kubuntu 6.0.6.1.
We are using the alternate disk and performin a text-based installation.
As the installers enters the stage of unpacking and setting up the
packages, the system freezes at the xorg package. The screen is turning
black and only a hard reset is possible. As this is at the installer
stage, I file this bug not for xorg but for the base-installer.
System details:
ThinkCentre M52 8215-G2G
Intel® Pentium® D Processor 820, 512MB, 80GB 7200RPM S-ATA HDD, PCI/PCIe Small
