Public bug reported:

I'm using laptop FS Amilo-A with Radeon card. I wasn't able to use it
with X11 org driver, I had to use vesa. While starting X with radeon
driver in its configuration system locked up totally (everything went
down: keyboard, monitor, network interfaces). I was using vesa.

But replacing radeon.ko kernel driver from OpenSuse 10.1 system works
fine.

I do not know what you need to know more about my hardware, so please
ask. I'd like to have system usable with original Ubuntu's radeon.ko.

I've also replaced X11's radeon driver from OS10.1, but I think it's not
needed.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-
image'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

** Affects: Ubuntu
