Public bug reported:

Since I started using gnome's network manager, netspeed shows all my
network interfaces as being disabled, even after I choose the network I
want to use (with network manage) and log into it.

For instance, now I get the following from ifconfig:
eth1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:18:DE:74:1D:AF
          inet addr:10.133.253.246  Bcast:10.133.255.255  Mask:255.255.0.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::218:deff:fe74:1daf/64 Scope:Link

But netspeed keeps saying that "eth1 is down".

** Affects: netspeed (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
