Unable to get 8.10 to install (video bug) on my Toshiba laptop. Was unable to get 8.10 to upgrade on a Abit based desktop (may have been flaky RAM). Had not retried since RAM error was cleared (memtest86+ to the diagnosis). Loaded Live CD 8.10 beta (no updates) Installed Networked Printer, Brother MFC 8820D

I have the standard flip down MP/Manual feed tray, and a standard cassettee (loaded with "Letter") AND I have an OPTIONAL extra cassette loaded with "Legal" That is 3 separate settings in "Windows" but Job Options only have (Tray1?) default. Brothers are stupid in that you need to tell each "Windows" PC the paper size installed in each tray (un-like HP where the tray setting tells the printer what it is set for and it communicates this to the driver). Test 1 print test page on "letter" set in job options. Passed Test 2 print test page on "Legal" set in job options: Failed: Printed on Letter Test 3 tried to print 3 page example document. Many failed: retries Printed Duplex, Fit page width. Failed: page came out with image tiny on Left edges (3 sides, 2 sheets), with some of the Logo trimmed more than on screen. -- Brother MFC does not allow setting 2nd tray paper size independently https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139271 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
