Public bug reported: After installing updates on October 22, 2008 several bugs appeared. One was that I noticed my theme had changed.
Tried System/Preferences/Appearance: "Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'... This could indicate a problem with Bonobo..." (no report problem button) Clicking ok brings up the appearance preferences. The new theme doesn't look like any that are listed. It's a dark blue theme - dark blue title bars and trash icon. I tried changing to other themes, like dark room, but again the orange in that theme has been replaced with a dark blue color, and the dark grey with white. All my themes now contain that same color scheme. When I choose any theme and close the Appearance Preferences window, the theme remains blue. When I click System/Prefs/Appearance again, it turns the correct color for a moment, then when the "Unable to start the settings manager" window pops up, it reverts to the blue color. It seems to be changing the icon set for a moment as well. I am using Intrepid Ibex Beta (upgraded from Hardy) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Themes broken after update on Oct 22 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
