Binary package hint: pidgin
When chatting to a friend who is currently in offline status in MSN,
pidgin frequently locks up entirely. The current chat window stops
responding to key presses (freezes with the text that was in the middle
of being typed still displayed), and the primary window turns grey.
The freeze always occurs after the first word or two has been typed
(I've never had more than a few characters), and *seems* to happen after
the conversation is left idle for a short time.
This is happening on pidgin 2.5.1-0ubuntu3.
