Thanks Rolf for the above link which helped me to find a way to reproduce at least a part of my problems. I had the same kind of issue with gnucash crashing (what I thought to be at random intervals) but couldn't pinpoint it.
After reading the above link I realised that I had no printer configured. After adding a printer it no longer crashed. At least for now it seems stable. For those that are still experiencing problems, when following the steps to reproduce as defined at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455570#c15, gnucash would exit with a message "Segmentation fault" and in /var/log/messages I would get the log entry: Oct 21 23:09:18 MyMachine kernel: [13643.390266] gnucash-bin[17474]: segfault at 51aec885 eip b68735dc esp bfeebf60 error 4 Earlier I also got the following message in /var/log/messages: Oct 21 21:29:11 MyMachine kernel: [ 7646.497532] gnucash-bin[12229]: segfault at 00000013 eip b61ebebc esp bfbb9720 error 4 -- Gnucash Segmentation fault when printing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145464 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
