Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
When reading through PDF slides, I find it most useful to read one page at a time via keyboard shortcuts, but have free scrolling capability with a mouse when necessary. For this reason, I use Evince in "continuous" mode. I looked up keyboard shortcuts in Evince via the Help > Contents menu, then under the "Shortcuts" heading. It states that "Page Down" should "Go to the next page". However, when I press Page Down / Page Up, they function similarly to Space / Return / Backspace shortcuts, which scroll an arbitrary distance. As a result, I am left with half of each slide on the page, which is not optimal. This only happens when "continuous" mode is selected-- otherwise the keys work as expected. Also, clicking on the "Next" or "Previous" buttons on the toolbar behave as expected. This is either a documentation bug, or a bug in the continuous mode. Page Up and Page Down should function identically to the Next / Previous buttons. I don't think this is document or resolution specific, although I can provide some examples if necessary.
