Public bug reported:

I tried to boot Ubuntu 8.10 Beta to try it today on my Dell Vostro 200
at work. I want to use it in French, so I select French as language.
When I press [ENTER] on "Try Ubuntu without changing anything on my
computer", I have a bootscreen freeze. No splash screen, nothing, same
after waiting 10 minutes.

If I reboot, I leave it with default language (english), it works
perfectly and I had no problems. If I select another language, like
Spanish, it works too.

I had no problems with the alternate install CD.

As I can see, French language is the problem. Like many other things,
lol.
