It is important to note that the screen display from Abiword is, in all cases, properly formatted, with faked italics (slanted) versions where there is no true italics or oblique version of the typeface installed, for example with Imapct. The attachment shows the result with FreeSans. + + Addition: this may be a problem in a library used by Abiword to generate + PDFs, or in the Abiword invocation of such a library.
