K-Menu -> System Settings -> Network Settings click on admin mode and enter password. It does not go in admin mode. sudo /usr/bin/kcmshell kcm_knetworkconfmodule does go into admin mode and can click on interface and configure. Another issue that I'm looking at is on reboot the interface doesn't get DHCP. I'll get the hardware configuration, and additional information after a reinstall and clean series of test.
