I am getting this bug when running pidgin on Intrepid Ibex. This bug occurs before pidgin has finished loading - it never displays a window or an icon in the notification area. This bug has occured for me since my upgrade from hardy to intrepid. I tried to use apport to submit a bug - but I think it was stopped by some sort of firewall so the bug report it would have sent is attached.
