This problem happens even with latest daily builds I have the drumroll at the GDM login screen, then the default Ubuntu login sound, but that's all... The event sounds (windows maximize/minimize/button click/etc...) dont work at all :( It's not my hardware problem, because I tried mandriva 2009 and all sounds do work fine.
