i had this too on 8.10 after yesterdays patches. workaround for me by system -> encryption and keyrings, deleting the respective entrys and then connecting through the nm-widget. you'll be asked for the password, enter it and you should be fine. for now... dont save it to the keyring. it seems that storing the password in the keyring is somehow broken, from the configure panel in network-manager as well as from the ad-hoc dialog from the widget.
