Public bug reported: Binary package hint: adept-manager
After edgy installation, I left the "deb cdrom:..." line in my /etc/apt/sources.list, on top of other repositories. I didn't notice what adept manager say when I did "Fetch Updates", but the instalaltion CD wasn't in the drive. Now after I remove one installed-by-default package and then re-install it, adept manager gives me a dialog saying I need to insert the CD. Adept manager should either (1) forget about the CD completely if it couldn't detect it when it most recently fetches updates; or (2) attempt to download the same package from the other sources/repositories in the sources.list first before asking user to insert CD. I haven't tested if installing a new (not-installed-by-default) pacakge will bring up a "insert CD" dialog or not. ** Affects: adept (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- adept-manager: should either ignore unmounted CD in sources.list or at least try other sources first https://launchpad.net/bugs/71596 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
