Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tracker
This is happening on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 64bit. tracker version 0.6.6-0ubuntu3.8.04.1 tracker is enabled and when session starts, after login, tracker-applet icon appears in gnome-panel-system-tray beside the other icons, like power, bluetooth, network, sound, etc... Tracker was working fine for nearly half a year now, till some days ago, when the tracker-applet icon somehow disappeared from the gnome-panel and never came back. ? now i filed a new bug-report, since the other bugreports similar to this one are at the end not the same. if i do $ ps -e |grep tracker i get nothing wierd: trackerd and tracker-applet are working, no double-processes or so. tracker-search-tool works from terminal and it is still working fine. trackerd starts at session-start and indexes like always. it is just that stupid icon that is gone. i tried a lot of stuff, but its a waste of time. starting tracker-applet with sudo leads to the same, no icon. the file tracker-applet.cfg shows AutoHideIcon=false. what can i do? what have i done? ** Affects: tracker (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- tracker-applet disappeared https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283681 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
