Furthermore the main interface (eth0 on my computer) can't be deconfigured by removing the tick in "Enable this connection". Trying to do this results in the following lines being added to /etc/network/interfaces: iface eth0 inet dhcp auto eth0 After restarting network-admin the interface eth0 is activated and configured as dhcp.
