dashua, thanks for your follow-up. By "blue 'i'" , I suppose you meant the button in the middle, because I use a different icon theme, it is actually a "start". I clicked it to toggle the icon to the right of the device name on and off, but either way the connection won't re-establish.
My /etc/default/bluetooth looks exactly the same as yours. Would you mind posting other configuration files like /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf, /etc/bluetooth/main.conf and /etc/bluetooth/input.conf?
