Hi Daniel,

this is not a bug, but a "feature" of the gtk-frontend. In all gtk-
applications the combination ctrl+shift+u is used to activate the input
of unicode-characters. There are several possibilities to cope with
that: Either you have to force the use of xim as input-method for ooo
(if you do not need the feature, I do), or you simply will need to
change the shortcut.

This behavior is known, please refer to Bug #111308 for further
information.
