Public bug reported: My Thinkpad X60 has been without a wireless network connection for 2 months now. Is there no fix coming for the LTS release of Ubuntu 8.04?
Initially when I first installed Hardy everything was fine. But around mid August-2008 I started experiencing connectivity problems. My iwl3945 driver can connect to my WPA personal network, however only when I am really close to my wifi router. Then it works for about 2-3minutes before network throughput gets slower and slower until it stops working entirely. I never had these problems before with any previous versions. Unloading and reloading module iwl3945 doesn't help. Closing the lid and opening it again makes things even worse. Was there any QA done on this module?
