Well, I figured out what the problem was, but I still think there should be a way to open a terminal.
The problem was the amount of video memory I was giving the VirtualBox virtual machine. I have a 30" monitor and if I want to use fullscreen or seamless mode, I need to allocate at least 17 MB of video memory. I usually set it to 20 MB just to be safe. Hardy didn't have this problem, but Intrepid does. It simply cannot handle a video memory setting that is not 8, 16, or a multiple of 16. So by setting my video memory to 32 MB (overkill), it works! -- FailsafeX in Intrepid Should Have an Option to Open a Terminal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275866 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
