Hi Bryce,

thanks for your mail. I'm sending you my lspci output as my hardware
is unchanged, but recently I migrated to Arch linux and the problem
doesn't seem to happen here (sure it uses other versions of the
related packages).

If it's a critical issue for you, I can offer helping out by
downloading an ubuntu live cd, reconfiguring it's X using my home
config and try to reproduce the problem (though I didn't know if it
happened with the livecd).
