Public bug reported: Board is able to boot only if I specify in kernel boot option: 'irqpoll'.
Thereafter, lost interrrupts errors are reported and other "confused devices" messages are logged in dmesg. The system seems to work, but not fully and certainly with significantly impacted performance. A very detailed description (including dmesg outputs in vairous conditions) can be found in the following URL: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=499811 Notice that reduced performance is a workaround, not the real solution. I am dying to move away from Windows 2000 to Ubuntu Linux on this system (my main workstation). Unfortunately I cannot afford buying another system now. Thanks!
