Public bug reported: Up-to-date intrepid running on x86 hardware in 32 bit mode, pulseaudio package version is 0.9.10-2ubuntu7. While playing movies with mplayer, the movie often (usually after 5-10 minutes) freezes for 10 seconds or so, then it continues. During that time I discovered that pulseaudio process eats all idle CPU. After some seconds pulseaudio's CPU usage goes lower and movie continues. Sometimes however pulseaudio process completely disappears from process list (crash).
