Ah, I know what's going on, thanks for the log.
You have a Broadcom ethernet card (ssb:v4243id0806rev07, using the
kernel module b44) as well as a Broadcom wifi card (v4243id0807rev03, I
suspect). The latter would actually be covered by the new "wl" driver,
but this does not work together with the SSB driver. Thus enabling "wl"
would break your b44 ethernet card, which is why the handler in Jockey
auto-destructs itself in that case:

It seems that compared to hardy, the b43 driver now does not cover your
card any more. Reassigning to the kernel, since I'm afraid my knowledge
ends here.
