Ubuntu 8.1 -- Intepid,

This snip from the fake raid how-to looked promising....

In Intepid, dmraid is now in the 'main' respository, and can be installed
without recondfiguring apt. Once dmraid is running, the live installer can
handle installing to the raid. Ubiquity will fail when installing grub, and
will not automatically add dmraid to the new installation. These need to be
done manually.

However when I tried it, a
dmraid -ay it came up with dmraid4-5 not in kernel... or something
similar ... sorry cannot be exact
as I have gone back to Hardy in frustration :-(

In Hardy I was able to get a dmraid .. sort of working ..... when I used
the proposed repositry
