Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic

using the edgy amd64 version
the bcm43xx driver seems to malfunction
Not sure what causes the problem, but it seems somewhat random.
Strangely enough, some types of connection still work (like ping) and telnet
seems to work, but firefox (32-bit version) does not, even restarting it.
Connections that were already established seem to continue normally (amule)
To solve it, I have to disable the module and the card (with the button on the
laptop) then reactivate them and reconnect to the AP.
This driver has an instable nature, but the dapper version didn't have this
strange behavior.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
