Public bug reported: The wired controller is disabled (grayed out so it can't be clicked) in the nm-applet after resuming the laptop from suspend. Attempting to secure a DHCP offer via terminal (e.g., 'sudo dhclient eth0') fails, though the network lights on the hardware are physically on.
To get the networking to function again I need to reload the kernel drivers by doing the following: sudo modprobe -r et131x sudo modprobe et131x I have a Ethernet controller: Agere Systems ET-131x PCI-E Ethernet Controller (rev 02) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- wired network disabled in NetworkManager after resuming from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
