Martin, I didn't test hibernation on the latest intrepid (will do so in the coming days) but I am glad to hear that hibernation using a swap file now works. It is my understanding though that not all suspend (to disk) mechanisms do support swap on file, so it might be appropriate to test whether the current suspend app is indeed happy to use a swap file. Also, from what I gather from Johan's comment, we should test if there is a swap at all.
