Your info makes sense to me. Let me try to figure out how to remove/re-install Macromedia 7. BTW, I had some fsck checks on a previous boot which in my limited experience means SNAFU. Fsck doesn't tell me what package(s) were involved in the inodes it was screwing around with. At least it didn't blow me completely out of the water like grub does. As a "normal" user the biggest hurdle ubuntu has is video which is being more and more wide spread. If ubuntu video could handle more of the common video formats it would have much more appeal. Openoffice manages to be quite compatible with Microsoft products; if ubuntu could do the same. And yes I'm using both Dapper LTS and Edgy on different computers so maybe I get confused with which is on what. As a side note for both of you. Please check if you have flash plugin installed and see if you cant remove it or make a new profile and so there is no flash and see if it crashes. -- firefox crash when wieving video https://launchpad.net/bugs/59611 ________________________________________________________________________ Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- 2 GB of storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection. -- firefox crash when wieving video https://launchpad.net/bugs/59611 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
