I understand, and however i am currently pulse with hardy right now... with this said, i ran in to only one problem with compiling it on hardy... that was that libspeex was too old ( requires 1.2rc1 which is latest unstable ) and that i had to compile it with the following commands before the configure in order for it to compile properly.
