I've tried to start with pci=noacpi and pci=noapic but... nothing the error is still there. I'm really thinking to compile the kernel 2.6.18, but, before I'll try to start with hald manually like you have done to see where it stops. Anyway, attached is my dmesg with acpi disabled.
