Not to sound too bad, but the current ubuntu version has the biggest security hole possible, it sends passwords clear text over the internet. Any SSL support is much better than the current versions shipped with Debian and Ubuntu. I am surprised that Debian and Ubuntu allow the the application in the distro without SSL. For example, the gmail account doesn't even warn you that the connection is not secure. I like the product a lot and I package it myself with SSL enabled as I would much rather not use the library than use it without any security. > > -- > IMAP/POP3+SSL/TLS are disabled > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44335 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > -- IMAP/POP3+SSL/TLS are disabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
