Without xserver-xgl those of us with multiple monitors (Say 3 monitors
or more) using multiple graphics cards have no way of bridging those
cards together to form one xscreen. Xrandr only works on a single
graphics card at this time and nvidia's twinview only works with a
single graphics card at this time. I'm looking for any alternate to
xserver-xgl but the only option that even comes close right now would be
the use of a triplehead2go hardware device but those have limited
resolutions. Any ideas would be great - I have a howto / support link
going over in the ubuntu forums at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=884161 - complete with video of
my current setup. I know i'm not the norm - but i've helped many people
who have 3 - 4 monitors and are frustrated with the current state of
dualmonitor or more support. This trend is getting more and more
popular as LCD's have gotten cheap and triple SLI boards now make it
possible to have 3 equally powerful video cards in one system.. I'm
searching for ideas / suggestions / howtos / point me in a direction - I
search this daily ;) - and I'm willing to put any idea to test and do a
writeup.. I love Ubuntu, never going back to windows, and converting
our clients PC's daily! (I'm even starting a killboard w/ windows logos
- I'm up to 60+!). Thanks! - Shane Menshik - D2 Global Inc. -
