knetworkmanager (on intrepid beta) can't connect to my local WEP wlan. distance 
and stuff can't be the problem i'm right here writing this on a different 
computer at the same distance from the access point. there seems to be some 
trouble with the ipw3945 ...

at another location i had no problem whatsoever connecting with WPA but
